Christmas Tea

Early in the month of December, ladies from all over the area meet together to start the hectic Holiday season with an evening of relaxed visiting — enjoying tea and all the trimmings.

Honoring Our Heroes

A new ministry will begin in February, 2010. Plans are in progress to sponsor an evening to honor: Butler Police, Butler Fire Department, Bates County Sheriff Patrol and BCMH EMS. We want to show our appreciation for their protection and service

School Staff Luncheon

The first ministry to emerge from the planning of the B.A.L.M. steering committee was a luncheon for the entire staff of the three Butler School. Administration, teachers, custodians, kitchen, bus drivers and office personnel enjoy a delicious lunch on the Monday before school begins

Ladies from all the Butler churches provide food, music and gifts for everyone.

Annual Chili Cook Off

Together with the members of Immanuel, B.A.L.M. sponsors a Chili Cook Off on the first Saturday of October. Churches, groups, and organizations from the area enter their best chili recipes. The best is picked by a donation vote. All of the proceeds of the evening benefit the Butler Christian Ministerial Alliance.

Each year a new addition has been added to the evening of fun and fellowship.

B.A.L.M. Retreats

One of the main emphasis of our ministries is the twice yearly retreats. On the third Saturday of March and October, a day of fun, food, fellowship that offers the opportunity of reflection and renewal.

Women from Butler and surrounding areas com together to celebrate their unity through Jesus Christ. Denominational differences are laid aside as we worship Our Savior as one.

The format for the spring retreat is to have a keynote speaker who shares her experiences connected to the theme selected by the steering committee.

Then in the fall, women from the area speak to their friends, old and new, from the heart again on a chosen topic.
